Day 17-sea day in South Pacific

Day 17-sea day in South Pacific

The only new experience I had was walking 4.5 laps around the promenade deck and counting my steps. Each 1/2 lap takes me 300 steps. Also, a buddy needed to vent and I offered a listening ear.

I just missed being about to make flower leis in the Polynesian crafts workshop. They ran out of flowers even though I arrived 35 minutes early for 9AM class. I attended our second solo travelers’ lunch and attended a lecture on the Cook Islands port of Rarotonga. I learned a new dance in ballroom dance class, Bachata that originated in the Dominican Republic.

During breakfast there was a code announcement about room 7023. Later, we learned at dinner, that Dave the bridge player, had died.  This represents our second death in 2.5 weeks.  Another man dropped dead day 5 in Costa Rica—next to the ship.

Another French Polynesian Island waits us tomorrow!
